We have had quite a few busy days around here.

On Wednesday I learned that my mother-in-law would be visiting us from Montana early this week. On Thursday I learned she could be here as early as Friday.
She and her boyfriend Allen arrived last evening. But only after I spent a few frantic days trying to get my house in order for guests. The girls were
a big help, and Geneva did fine staying with me inside a good portion of the time. One of the things I've learned about my girl over the passed 6 weeks
is she, unlike any other dog I've ever had, isn't afraid of the vacuum cleaner.

This weekend has been a very full one for us. Thank goodness it's been beautiful weather. Yesterday I caught the 9:00am ferry to Seattle and went to the
UBS meeting, one of the Seattle chapters in WCB. There were about 17 people present and I had the pleasure of sharing about things going on in WCB, future
activities, the ACB convention & even a little about myself and family. I caught the 12:50pm ferry back and was home by 2:15. To & from the ferry on
the Seattle side we took a cab, so Geneva's main work was on and off the ferry and in the building where the meeting was held. She did great of course,
and during the meeting, she was very well behaved, staying in a down position the whole time while I did my presentation about 3 feet from her. I was
so pleased.

Our company arrived around 5:30 last night. They had already stopped and had dinner and the girls were at a meeting, so I quickly made Lyle and I something
to eat so that we could get that out of the way. They headed to bed around 10, sleeping on our hide-a-bed in the living-room. So Lyle and I headed to
our room and watched the movie Ray for the first time. It's one of my newest DVS movies. I came home with 12 from the ACB convention and now have 98.

Today, we headed back over to Seattle. This was after going out for breakfast with Lyle and his mom and Allen. We caught the 11:30am ferry, and Dee &
Allen went along with me to do some site seeing while I headed to my destination, the Act Theatre. There I met up with two friends and fellow board members
of WCB. I had tried to arrange a ladies day out but only 3 of us were able to go this time. The play, which was audio described, was Born Yesterday,
a humorous story with a serious message. While there, we ran into a few other WCB members who were taking in this special treat. On the way to the theatre
from the ferry terminal, Geneva and I took 2 city buses and had to walk a couple of blocks in unfamiliar territory. Although we overwalked one block and
had to retrack, Geneva worked like a charm. One of the streets that we ended up crossing twice, both unnecessarily, was very busy and we had to dodge
2 cars making a left in front and behind us in one of those crossings, Geneva slowed up and sped up accordingly and never seemed phased by it. She worked
through the theatre with ease, laid nicely at my feet throughout the production, only making an occasional moan or grown as she'd stretch or adjust her
position, and just worked with an incredible amount of confidence.

Tonight Lyle took us all out to dinner at the Sizzler. Geneva lay at my left with her head under the table. At one point, her tail got stepped on and
she whined loudly. But she got herself up and turned herself around placing her butt-end under the table and her head along side my chair. She's quite
a quick learner I'd say. smile

Well, sounds like the house is finally settling down for the night so I think I'll head to bed. Geneva's sacked out at my feet. I think she's feeling
as worn out as me and we have a full week ahead working at VBS at our church this week.
