Today was a very full day.

Work went well again. Geneva seems very comfortable working in the school building, knows where my office is and is very relaxed lying under my desk. Oh yes, she enjoys the attention she gets from other staff members walking through as well.

Near the end of my work day, the high school had a Moving Up Assembly. I normally wouldn't go to these, but my oldest daughter Amelia, who is one of the graduating seniors, was performing at the assembly. So Geneva and I went. We sat on the front row bleacher, floor level, and Geneva did great with the hustle and bustle of a thousand or more teenagers climbing the bleachers, moving briskly past her, being very loud in a big gymnasium. As it turned out, Amelia was the opening act. She sang the song, Break Away by Kelly Clarkston & did a wonderful job. I was so proud of her. The audience seemed to really get into the song, and when she was done, the applause and screaming was overwhelming to me. But not to Geneva. I however decided that we could leave as they started to show the senior Morf video and kids were screeching and laughing, etc. When we got out of the gym, I stopped and praised Geneva for being so good in there. When she knows she's done a good job, she seems so proud of herself. Her whole body just dances with happiness.

After work, it was off to the dentist for a cleaning for me. She laid in the corner of the room nicely and never tried to budge. Of course, when Dr. Ruff came in, he gave her lots of attention and she kissed him and made him feel special, which made him happy.

From there, we headed to Les Schwab to have our brakes checked out. We were there for 20 minutes, and thank heavens the news was good and free. They rotated our tires and put new lug nuts on, but all at no cost. And our brakes are still good. Woohoo!

Then it was off to WalMart to pick up a few items for Lyle. Geneva doesn't quite have the "follow" command down yet, but I know this isn't really taught to them and she'll pick it up in no time. So Amelia had to do a lot of communicating as she made turns, etc.

When we got home, it was time to feed my girl. I knew she had to be hungry because I opted not to feed her this morning since she hadn't eaten the passed 4 mornings. We're going to try a once a day feeding schedule and see how that goes with her. Anyway, she ate most of her food tonight and seems a bit pooped out now. But this is after playing with Arabelle. That's right, after the girls both ate, they actually played together and both seemed so happy. Their play was very gentle and didn't last long, but it was still play, and I'm thrilled about that.

Well, I don't think Geneva is the only one pooped out tonight, so I think I'll go join her on the floor. Or better yet, I'll have her follow me to the bedroom so we can sleep on our respective beds.

Hugs,

Cindy with her gentle Geneva
